Bolt-On Personalisation Slows Your Store. Shoppers Don't Leave Quietly
India does not shop as one market. Language diversity fragments intent, privacy regulation limits data usage, and a large share of high-value customers transact as guests with no persistent identity.
Yet most personalisation systems were not built for this reality. Bolt-on personalisation breaks in this environment. It relies on incomplete identity, misreads intent across contexts, and slows the experience when it tries to compensate.
ONE CX™ builds on a better approach. We embed personalisation into a cache-first runtime that makes decisions in milliseconds, works for guest and known users from the first interaction, and remains resilient when data is missing or delayed.
The models are flexible, the runtime is what we build and operate. The result is a store that stays fast, understands more customers, and converts better under real-world Indian complexity.
Personalisation Engineered Into Commerce
The slow experience, the broken identity, the missed intent, each solved by engineering, not another plug-in.
A fast-fashion retailer, re-architected for peak load
rStorefront - we engineered and run the decisioning runtime behind retailer storefronts across 4 metros and 15 tier-2 cities, serving every visit from an in-memory cache.
rStorefront, personalised across the full funnel
For a British luxury accessories retailer, we rebuilt commerce with a unified customer data layer enabling personalisation at scale across storefronts in 47 countries.
SUD Life agent recruitment
Personalised the recruitment program, by region, language, ads and device. No profile needed, lifting completed applications in double digits.

Real-Time Decision Architecture
Cache-first runtime personalises each visit from cache in milliseconds, no live data-platform calls.
Full Funnel Personalisation
Storefront, category, product, cart and checkout are natively personalised, with your decision engine powering every experience.
Zero-Profile Personalisation
Identity maturity enables personalisation from the first session for guests, first-time users and COD shoppers, improving conversion rates.
"The shopper in Indore compares your store to the fastest app on their phone, not to your competitor.
Across work for Decathlon,Ximi Vogue and Diageo Bar Academy Africa, and regulated journeys for SUD Life and a leading healthcare brand, I've seen the same law hold: personalisation that waits on a data platform loses the sale before it renders.
Speed is the first personalisation. Relevance is the second. Most stores get them in the wrong order"
- Pradeep Bhandari, Senior Data Engineering Manager - ONE CX

Why India's CDOs and CTOs Choose ONE CX for E-Commerce Personalisation
01
We Engineer Personalisation, Not an Add-On
Bolt-on tools call the data platform in the live path and break under load. We engineer real-time architecture into commerce itself.

E-Commerce Personalisation FAQs for India's CDOs and CTOs
How is E-Commerce Personalisation different from your Personalisation service?
E-Commerce Personalisation engineers the system that makes personalisation run in your store, the real-time decisioning architecture, the cache-first runtime, the integration and the rendering across storefront, product, cart and checkout, and we run it after launch. Our Personalisation practice, builds the brain, the recommendation and ranking models, the decision science and the cross-channel strategy.
What does ONE CX do in an e-commerce personalisation engagement?
We engineer personalisation into your commerce funnel and run it. One team of engineering, design and data builds the real-time architecture, integrates your decision engine and CDP signals, renders personalised storefront, product, cart and checkout, and runs and tunes it on real traffic after launch. We build it, then we run it. You own the code, the data and the decision rules. We have engineered exactly this for thousands of retailer storefronts on rStorefront and for global D2C brands.
What is real-time personalisation architecture?
It is the engineering that lets a store decide what each shopper sees and render it in the same moment, rather than in a nightly batch. The signature is a cache-first runtime: personalisation is resolved from an in-memory decision cache in milliseconds, while the customer data platform and analytics refresh that cache in the background. The live page never waits on a slow system, so personalisation stays fast even at festival peak.
How do you keep personalisation fast when festival traffic multiplies?
We separate the live path from everything slow. Each decision is resolved from an in-memory cache holding decision-ready signals, with no call to the data platform in the request path, so a typical decision returns in a few hundred milliseconds. Background workers refresh the cache asynchronously, stateless services scale horizontally, and if an upstream is slow the store falls back to safe defaults. Festival peaks are an engineering input here, not a surprise.
How do you personalise for a first-time or tier-two shopper with no history?
Through identity-maturity engineering. An anonymous visitor is personalised from session one on context we do have, location, device, popularity and in-session behaviour. As they return and a profile stitches, the experience deepens to recognised and then known, with history and lifecycle signals. The tier-three first-timer is personalised, not parked behind a generic page until they log in.
Is it DPDP-defensible?
Yes, by design. The runtime cache holds decision-ready signals only, segments, affinity and eligibility, never raw personal data in the live path. Source data is read asynchronously, consent is respected, and every personalisation decision is auditable. Defensible is the engineering default, not a later retrofit. We engineered exactly this on rStorefront: multi-tenant isolation, row-level security and governance across every retailer on the platform.
Whose recommendation engine and models do you use?
Yours, or ours from the Personalisation practice. The ranking and recommendation models are the decision science, that is the practice's lane or your own. On this page we engineer how that engine runs in your commerce, fast, integrated and rendered across the funnel. Bring your engine and we build around it, or take both together
Do you run it after launch, and does it lock us in?
Operate means we run, monitor and improve the live personalisation to an agreed SLA, latency, conversion and uptime through festival peaks, on real traffic. It is a service you start and stop, not a dependency. You own the code, data and decision rules throughout, so keep us on to run it, take it in-house, or move on
How long until personalisation is live?
A first working release and a first real conversion signal inside ninety days is our average, shipped to real Indian devices and networks. From day ninety-one the number is proven and grown in operation, never claimed at launch. The team that builds it runs it, so there is no handover

Stop Selling to Everyone the Same Way. Start Converting Each Customer. A thirty-minute scoping call: where your store loses the sale, which signals you already hold, and what the first ninety days of personalisation deliver. No commitment.
